Tingsha or Cymbal is a musical instrument used traditionally for ritual offerings and chanting during ceremonies by Buddhist and Hindu religion. Just like the singing bowl, it is made up of alloys for producing multiple harmonic overtones. Method of casting and engraving has been passed from generation to generation. Nowadays it is used to prepare for meditation, healing, space clearing, sound therapy treatment and it can be easily found commonly in musical recordings and yoga classes.

How to use

For the best harmonic sound, grasp each cymbal by the cord, at the point where it enters the hole on Tingsha and strike the edges together. It is very important to hold firmly on the cord without your other fingers touching the cymbal and also angling left hand cymbal about 90 degrees to the other, rather than parallel.
